ACTIVITIES

a) UC Berkeley Business Academy for Youth:

I am enrolled in a year-long incubator program at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, focusing on entrepreneurship, business management, and technology. As part of the program, I developed and presented "Sabode" - a personalized real estate start-up app designed for first-time home buyers.

b) San Francisco Conservatory of Music Precollege Program:

I have been studying classical guitar since the age of four and am currently enrolled in the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Classical Guitar program. I have performed solo and in orchestras at the SFCM Bowes Center, the SFCM main campus, and various open-mic events.

c) Dougherty Valley High School Varsity Badminton Team:

I represented Dougherty Valley High School’s highly competitive badminton team as a varsity player in my sophomore and junior years and as a junior varsity player in my freshman year. The JV and varsity teams, selected from over 200 students in annual tryouts, have consistently ranked first in our high school division for the past decade

d) StellarXplorers Competition:

I am competing in StellarXplorers, a competition hosted by the Air & Space Forces Association (AFA), where I use Ansys-STK to model and simulate satellite orbits and mission scenarios while analyzing complex trajectories and patterns. Through this experience, I have also gained knowledge of Kepler's Laws, Space Systems Design, Bernoulli's Principle, Rocket Systems, and Thermodynamics.

EXPERIENCES

Experiences:

a) TurnUp Youth Activism Internship (Received President's Volunteer Service Award - Gold)

Leading up to the 2024 presidential election, I spent 120 hours interning at a non-profit organization called TurnUp dedicated to “making our nation more just, fair, and equitable for all by increasing youth activism and civic engagement to strengthen our democracy.” I participated in voter outreach programs; personally spoke to many of California’s government bodies, advocates, and individuals all over the country; and completed tasks dedicated to identifying and mitigating the hidden biases at play in our communities.

b) Schoolhouse.world SAT Tutoring

I was invited by Schoolhouse.world – a platform by Khan Academy – to volunteer as an SAT tutor due to my above 90th percentile SAT score. During SAT seasons, I design course materials and lead month-long boot camps, teaching a class of 10 students various SAT Math topics, inluding algebra, geometry, and statistics, over 8 sessions.

d) National Honors Society -

I am a member of DVHS’s National Honor Society where I am provided with many volunteering opportunities including tutoring, community service, and hosting events such as local carnivals or fairs. Open to 11th and 12th graders, NHS is selective in its members and requires all participants to have a GPA of 3.6 or higher.
